Vegan Baker Needed
Yes! Meals From The Heart Cafe is seeking a partnership with an independent vegan baker. This position is for someone who can work without supervision, loves the art/science of baking, and has or can procure a federal tax identification. This position is not an hourly offer. Front of the House -Server/Hostess Part Time
Applicants must be able to handle a high volume of customers while maintaining a superior standard of customer service.
Must also demonstrate a great attention to detail, strong work ethic, be punctual, display a high level of cleanliness as well as honesty. Our hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday and Sundays from 9am to 6pm.
Must be able to work at least one weekend day. Starting pay ranges from $8.50 - $10.50 an hour depending upon experience.
This position also receives daily tips in addition to salary.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Experience preferred but not necessary, we will train motivated people.
Back of the House - Food Expeditor Part Time
The food expeditor is the quarterback of our kitchen, responsible for communicating current orders to all back of house staff including the cook. This position also works our grill which is where we prepare our pancakes and toast breads.
Applicants must be able to handle a high volume of orders while maintaining a superior standard of food presentation and quality. This position requires you to stand for long periods of time.
Must be extremely detailed orientated in order to keep up with the varying food restrictions of our customers, even during high stress and high-volume periods. Because our kitchen and staff is small, all BOH staff is responsible for dishwashing, prep work and cleaning as needed.
Starting pay ranges from $9 - $11 per hour based on experience. This position also receives daily tips in addition to salary.

Cook - Part Time
Applicants must be able to handle a high volume of orders while maintaining a superior standard of food presentation and taste. The Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The Cook should safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc. Starting pay ranges from $9.50 -$12 based on experience. This position also receives daily tips in addition to salary.
Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
Safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knifes
Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
Ensures security of company assets
Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
